Customer Service Awards

The Guernsey public has  until the 29 June to vote for their Customer Service Heroes, giving them the opportunity to walk away with one of the coveted 2012 Customer Service Awards.

The Customer Service Awards, which are now in their second year, are being generously sponsored by HSBC and supported by the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce and Island FM.

The Awards aim to showcase individuals who deliver service excellence across all customer facing sectors – from retail to hospitality, from public sector to charitable volunteers.

Awards fall into eight categories and include for the first time this year an award for the “Humble Volunteer” who gives selflessly to the charitable sector. People can vote for as many individuals – or teams – as they wish and all shortlisted individuals will be invited to the Awards ceremony taking place on 6 July.

Julie Todd of event organisers, Todd and Associates, hopes that there will be a good response:

“Last year’s event really caught public imagination and there were hundreds of votes cast. We hope that we will get even more this year and so have made it much easier for people to vote – online, by post, text, and we even have a QR code.”

Last year’s overall winner, Peggy Le Friec of B&Q, would encourage anyone to get involved with the event:

“I am still in shock that I won – and living proof that age is no obstacle to anything. I am really looking forward to this year’s event to see who picks up my crown!”
