Chamber Lunch

With Christmas fast approaching, Chamber believes that its December lunch should be a more light hearted affair, and reflect on who we are, where we are from, and what we represent. La Societe Guernesiaise have kindly agreed to present to our members at our lunch on Monday 16th December. La Societe dates back to 1882 and was founded to study and record the flora, fauna, geology, archeology, language, folklore and history of the Bailiwick. La Societe now covers thirteen disciplines including astronomy, family history, historic buildings, Guernsey French, Climate change and juniors. Pat Costen, Vice President, and Rodney Collennette, President of La Societe Guernesiaise, will tell us about their activities and plans for the future, as well as reflecting on the past and their journey on the way!

Rupert Dorey, President of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce says "I am delighted to have both Pat and Rodney present at the December lunch, to give us all a cultural fillip at this seasonal time of year. Pat has unmatched knowledge of La Societe, while every self respecting local will recall a piece of him or herself in Rodney's depiction of GB Edwards' Ebenezer Le Page!"

Sure have kindly agreed to provide a glass of hot mulled wine to all guests at this seasonal occasion. We look forward to seeing you all there.

The Chamber Lunch is held on the third Monday of each month at the OGH Hotel, 12.15 for a 12.30pm start by the guest speaker followed by a 2 course lunch, after which the speaker is back for Q&A's aiming to finish by 2pm.
