Chamber Lunch - John Webster

The Chamber Lunch is held on the third Monday of each month at the OGH Hotel, 12.15 for a 12.30pm start by the guest speaker followed by a 2 course lunch with a glass of wine, after which the speaker is back for Q&A's aiming to finish by 2pm.  We have a range of interesting and topical speakers through the year and these events are ideal for networking or corporate entertaining as places can be reserved on an individual basis or a group booking.

January Chamber Lunch

The Guernsey Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome John Webster as our guest speaker at the Chamber Lunch this month.
John has spent 22 years as one of eighteen on call crew members of the Guernsey Lifeboat, progressing to deputy coxswain. During this time he was also Yard Manager at Marine and General for seventeen years before his retirement.

Rupert Dorey, President of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce says, “The RNLI is symbolic of the core values in both business and our island society. Common themes are self-reliance, trust, leadership, commitment, mutual respect, execution and delivery.
John Webster is an individual winner of the RNLI bronze medal for the epic rescue of the MV “BONITO” in December 1981, which was hailed as one of the most daring rescues in recent times, and which has since passed into RNLI folklore. He is a fitting speaker for our inaugural lunch in 2013”

The lunch will be held in the Regency Room of the OGH Hotel, at 12.15 for 12.30pm on Monday 21st January 2013.  Bookings for individual places, tables or half tables can be made with the Chamber Office by downloading the booking form and returning it to anne.richardson@guernseychamber.com

We have managed to keep the low prices for the Chamber Lunches over the last few years but unfortunately we are unable to continue to absorb the increase in food prices, therefore Chamber Council have agreed that from January 2013 the cost of the Lunches will be increased to £19 for Chamber members and £25 for non members.
