Training, Education and Development
Chamber has a Training, Education and Development Sub-committee. Its objectives are:
- To promote the benefits of training to our members
- To promote the training provided by our members in that sector
- To liaise with Education Department regarding job skills demanded by the workplace
- To represent Chamber members regardingeducation and related issues e.g. States of Guernsey consultations, initiatives,
Working with GTA University and Kathy Tracey of The Learning Company, we have promoted a series of short seminars entitled "Management Essentials". These practical courses are efficient in terms of cost (only £35 per session for a Chamber member) and time (they cover all the essential items in 2 hours).
We will continue to promote such training, encourage our members that provide training to use this website to promote their courses and to use the forum to engage our membership to find out exactly what training they would like to see provided.
